Documentary Film

Better Discourse is producing a documentary film. The film asks Americans what is needed to make America a better place and explores how the quality of online conversation and hyper polarization is impacting Americans’ relationships in their communities and families.

The film is being filmed in Washington, DC. Better Discourse has conducted over 100 interviews near the National Mall and White House with visitors from all over the United States. The film will feature their responses to the following questions:

  1. What do you love about America?
  2. What does America need now?
  3. How does the quality of today’s online conversation among Americans affect America?

The documentary will also include short interviews with experts on the subject of polling data relating to polarization, the digital surveillance economy, privacy law, and technological solutions.

Washington, DC, a rich and vibrant city, serves as the backdrop of the film where Americans from across America travel see the city’s monuments, museums, and our seat of government.
